Yosbel Martinez, M.D, is a dedicated family physician committed to providing exceptional, comprehensive, and personalized healthcare to his patients. Born and raised in Pinar Del Rio, Cuba, he earned his medical degree from the Instituto Superior de Ciencias Medicas de la Habana (Havana, Cuba) and completed a Family Medicine residency program there in 2009. He has extensive experience working as a physician in Cuba and Venezuela. In 2011, Dr. Martinez left Cuba for the United States and completed the necessary prerequisites to become a licensed physician in America. He then completed his second residency (his first in the United States) at the Rio Bravo Family Medicine Residency Program in Bakersfield, California in 2023, where he served underprivileged patients in his community. He is board-certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians.


Dr. Martinez joined Cornerstone Medical Care in Tampa, Florida in 2023. He embodies Cornerstone’s vision of making a difference in the lives of patients, their families and caregivers, and the team by delivering confidence and compassion in providing high-quality healthcare. Dr. Martinez prides himself on following current medical guidelines with a strong emphasis on preventive care and the highest standards of care.


He resides in the Tampa Bay area with his wife and son. His hobbies include fishing, camping, biking, reading, swimming, and spending quality time with family and friends. Dr. Martinez speaks English and is a native Spanish speaker, and he is accepting new patients at Cornerstone’s Sun City Center office.
