Shawna King, D.O. is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine specializing in Family Medicine with an emphasis on adult primary care.  She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.


Dr. King completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of California, Irvine in 1998. After taking some time off to start a family, Dr. King and her family moved to the Tampa area in 2009, where she received her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Bradenton, Florida in 2013. During medical school, she fell in love with the Tampa area and decided to make it her home. She completed her internship and residency in Family Medicine with special areas of concentration in Emergency Medicine and Inpatient Medicine at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg in 2016.  Dr. King joined Cornerstone Medical Care in 2019 and practices out of the Sun City Center location.


Dr. King practices Osteopathic Medicine, which emphasizes a holistic approach to treating patients by addressing the whole person rather than just the disease. She enjoys travel and spending time with her husband and two sons.
