Dr. Manuel Gomez was born in La Habana, Cuba. He finished medical school in 1990 and completed his training at a rural hospital in Guantanamo, Cuba. In 1992, he returned to La Habana where he started his residency in Family Medicine and then had the chance to emigrate to South America. Initially, he relocated to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he worked as an EMT. Later, he moved to Santiago de Chile in Chile, where he revalidated his medical diploma at University of Chile and worked as a general practitioner for 3 years at several community clinics as well as the emergency room in Santiago de Chile. Dr. Gomez then migrated to the United States and lived in Chicago, Illinois, where he revalidated his medical diploma by training at Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital. He completed his training and Family Medicine board certification in July, 2006. In September of 2006, Gomez settled in Brandon, Florida, and is a family man. He enjoys spending time with his wife Miriam, his son David, and his dog Oreo. Some of his hobbies include hunting, spear fishing, diving, sailing, and sports.
