Manuel Gomez, M.D.

Manuel Gomez, MD, is a Family Practitioner with a focus on adult primary care. Born in Havana, Cuba, he completed medical school in 1990. He completed his first residency in 1995 in Havana. His career took him to South America, first relocating to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he worked as an EMT. He later moved to Santiago, Chile, where he revalidated his medical diploma at the University of Chile and worked as a general practitioner in community clinics and the emergency room for several years. Dr. Gomez emigrated to the United States and moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he completed his training and US residency at Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in 2006. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He has practiced in the Tampa area since 2006 and joined Cornerstone Medical Care in 2021. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Florida Academy of Family Physicians. He practices out of the Brandon location.

Dr. Gomez is a compassionate and dedicated family physician committed to maintaining high standards in patient care. He is known for his strong problem-solving skills and effective multitasking and time management abilities. His core competencies include working with managed care models and providing comprehensive care in various settings, such as office practices, hospitals, and nursing homes/skilled nursing facilities (NH/SNFs). He manages chronic illnesses, provides preventive medicine, and performs a wide range of procedures typically handled by a family physician.

In his personal life, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife Miriam, son David, and dog Oreo. His hobbies include hunting, spearfishing, diving, sailing, and engaging in sports.
