Ivette L. Hernandez, FNP-C

Ivette Hernandez, MSN, MBA, APRN, FNP-C, CCM, is a highly experienced nurse practitioner with over 20 years of combined experience in the areas of women’s health, family medicine, oncology, clinical research and advanced wound care. Originally from Havana, Cuba she began her medical career at the Universidad de Ciencias Medicas de la Habana in 1990. In 1994, she emigrated to the United States and focused on continuing her career in the medical field by obtaining a Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

 

She enjoys working in preventive medicine and educating patients about healthy lifestyle and disease prevention. She is an active member of the American Nurses Association and supports a community outreach program for high schoolers that are interested in pursuing a career in the medical field through The BEST Academy program by Advent Health.

 

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling in the US and abroad. She has two adult children and has been happily married for over 30 years. Her other interests include archery, yoga, dancing, winter sports as well as the arts.
