Angela Lucas McCarthy, MD is a board-certified family medicine physician who is very passionate about providing quality medical care for each and every patient. She approaches medicine with an open mind and active listening that includes holistic care of each patient, not just their medical concerns. She has been working in the health care field since 2007. Dr. Lucas McCarthy completed medical school at the University of Central Florida in 2019 followed by a family medicine residency at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Florida in 2022. Prior to becoming a medical doctor, Dr. Lucas McCarthy had several year’s experience as a family nurse practitioner. Prior to that, she was an elementary school teacher and an intensive care registered nurse. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. McCarthy is a Tampa Bay native and joined Cornerstone Medical Care in 2025. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her 2 sons, her 3 fur babies. She also enjoys singing, dancing, and anything to do with the water.
