Alessandra Cantone-Ferrill, M.D., Dr. Cantone-Ferrill is a native of Naples, Italy and is fluent in English, Italian and Spanish. She received her Medical Doctor (MD) degree in 2001 in Naples, Italy where she also earned a PhD and completed a fellowship in Nephrology. She has held positions of research fellow at the University of California San Francisco and Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. She completed her US training by completing an Internal Medicine Residency at Steward Carney Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts where she also focused on the study of endocrinology. She then worked as a primary care physician in Virginia and at Southern Maryland Medical Group in Maryland. Moving to Tampa, Florida in 2021, she joins Cornerstone Medical Care. in addition to her specialized focus in dialysis as a primary care physician, some of her other areas of interest are kidney disease, hypertension, diabetes, and women’s health. Dr. Cantone-Ferrill enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.
